JOB PURPOSE
To look after the general conditions of the fleet and fleet needs in such a
way that it drives cost, quality and service resulting in overall
organisational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
TO HANDLE THE FLEET AND THE FLEET NEEDS IN AN OPTIMIZED MANNER THAT WILL MEET
THE ONGOING SALES AND DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS BY PREPARING SERVICEABLE VEHICLES
BY:
*
Receive vehicles for maintenance
* Inspect the damage, define the problem and recommend the repairing entity
* Handle the delivery of damaged vehicles to repair shops
* Look after cleanliness of fleet
* Record & report mileage readings
* Report on mechanical conditions of fleet
* To implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the OH&S Management System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance to the legislations, PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all activities/areas are in place and OH&S targets are achieved.
Qualifications
A Fleet clerk must possess a high level of skill in the following areas:
* Mechanical training and background
* Ability to identify vehicles problems, assess the situation then recommend the repair
* Technical understanding of fleet needs
* Understanding of repairs quality
* Communicates productively
* Supports and motivate others
* Inspires trust
