Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining the general
ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting
statutory audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate has an experience in a
manufacturing environment, in cost accounting, a good general ERP knowledge
and ensures books are accurate and timely, as well as in compliance with Saudi
Arabia GAAP and Masimo internal policies.
This position is also involved in other related accounting and reporting
projects. The Senior Accountant provides day-to-day support to Masimo Saudi
Arabia management and various functions and geographies within the Masimo
companies. Although physically based in Saudi Arabia, the Senior Accountant
joins a team of skilled finance and accounting professionals located mostly in
Switzerland and the US.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly GL activities, journals, and accruals, perform balance sheet reconciliation and analytical reviews.
* Participate to the monthly, quarterly, and yearly USGAAP close process.
* Assist with Statutory Financial Statements preparation as well as direct tax filings and underlying information for VAT returns payment and filing.
* Perform invoicing of third-party sales in local language and active follow-up on cash collections.
* Assist with local law compliance and others local specific requirements.
* Assist with the renewal of the various local operating and business licenses.
* Partner with accounts payable team to ensure timely invoice processing & payments of key vendors
* Partner with Treasury Team to ensure timely anticipation of cash needs in Saudi
* Active support in internal and external audit activities and help with timely remediation of any findings or follow up items.
* Assist with business planning and budgeting process and monthly review and forecast of financial performance to ensure strong budgeting control and discipline for the manufacturing operations.
* Ensure compliance with the company policies and other control procedures.
* Perform ad hoc cross functional projects as requested.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum of ‎5 years of relevant financial experience in a multinational environment with at least ‎2 years in similar role.
* Good knowledge of Saudi Arabia statutory requirements and US GAAP as well as direct and indirect tax
* Experience working in a manufacturing is an asset
* Advanced Excel skills and strong general understanding of ERP systems required
* Must be able to meet the deadline for month-end close and year-end close.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Driven, able to work independently in an efficient manner and keen to take on new responsibilities
* Pro-active, team player oriented, reliable, and hands-on approach
* Willingness and ability to recognize and adapt to changing business requirements
* Fluent in Arabic and English, both verbal and written
Education:
* Bachelor of Accounting degree or equivalent required.
Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing/production
environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of
a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for
extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some
local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and
maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
