Assistant C atering M anager
Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre is looking for Saudi
Nationals.
Key Functions:
* Actively initiate Catering business and implement product development.
* Solicit all kinds of Catering events related information with client especially within the designated market segment
* Organize information to all departments through e-mails, Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes in a professional and timely manner Build creative proposals and menus mindful of food costs, labor costs and kitchen capabilities.
* Obtain approval from the Director of Catering when any special menus sold Confirm electrical, audio visual and exhibit requirements based on the discussion with the client Create floor plans for the best use of space for each event and to ensure banquets and clients are in agreement prior to set up
* Obtain guarantees of food and beverage events for Banquets and Kitchen
* Must advise any great deviation in number occurs, so labor and food cost can be controlled
* Initiate billing procedures, ensuring client credibility and that deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame
* Yield bedroom and meeting space daily to ensure optimum potential through the use of Delphi
* Conduct and/or attend meetings to review event contracts to ensure last minute changes are communicated with Banquets, Kitchen and Stewarding.
* Responsible for following the guidelines for the department Establish good business & social relationships with the industry and participate in activities related to PR to further increase sales leads for the department as well as the hotel
* Provide support to the Catering team with site inspections, on site event planning and weddings for additional exposure and experience
Qualifications include:
* Excellent customer service skills with great enthusiasm, superior interpersonal skills, result oriented and highly self motivated
* Strong reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
* Strong command of computer skills for any correspondence (proposals, contracts, hotel presentations etc)
* Professional, service oriented, eager to help co workers, adoptable with changes
* Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Delphi and Meeting Matrix is an asset
* Able to multi task and work under pressure
* Knowledge of meeting space capacities and terminology of meeting room set ups
* Knowledge of hotel outside catering capabilities including social and corporate events
* Fully aware of industry trends
* Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings
* Solid organization skills
