Assistant Banquet Manager
The Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh is looking for a Assistant Banquet Manager who
shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they
do. This position reports to the Director of Banquets.
Job Functions:
* The ability to assist in hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, directing and supervising the work of the employees in the Banquet Department
* The ability to assist in developing and maintaining all training programs on a continual basis to insure a high degree of professionalism within the staff
* The ability to assist in scheduling all employees to maintain the service standards of Four Seasons while operating within budgeted labor cost guidelines
* The ability to ensure proper care, security and maintenance of hotel equipment through proper supervision of service personnel
* The ability to maintain a daily housekeeping program to include storage and operational areas and staff appearance
* The ability to assist in preparation of the payroll and gratuity reports as required
* The ability to prepare banquet checks with all back- up for collection of funds at the end of functions
* The ability to attend regular catering meetings in the absence of the Banquet Manager to obtain information of the upcoming contracted functions
* The ability to attend and participate in all required meetings on a regular basis
* The ability to organize and orchestrate any last minute changes or details to functions
* The ability to constantly monitor the staff's appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism to insure their strict adherence to Four Seasons' standards of quality service
* The ability to communicate directly with the hosts of functions and goes over the details of the function.
* The ability to assist in directly overseeing the actual set- up and service of contracted functions by giving specific menu information to the servers, by coordinating the timing of the dinner with the Banquet Chef and by assigning functions to the Captains to insure their success
* The ability to take an active role in implementing safety procedures and following up within the department
* The ability to executive and fill the role of the Banquet Manager in his/her absence
* The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
* The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
Qualification Requirements :
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
‎2 years minimum banquet experience and/or food and beverage
management/supervisory experience.
Excellent motivational skills.
Excellent leader and trainer
Possesses an eye for attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills
