Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Assists to develop methods and solutions for construction / engineering
problems; helps select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the
project objectives. Completes a wide variety of difficult construction /
engineering assignments, applying construction / engineering techniques and
analysis within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a fully
qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most construction /
engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE/CAD (computer
aided engineering/computer aided design) applications. Travel or relocation to
supplier, client, or construction site locations may be required.
What You 'll Be Doing
Deputise for Resident Engineer.
Supervise contractor's work to achieve construction in accordance with the
Contract documents.
Participate in contract administration.
Review Contractor's submissions.
Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions.
Supervise site inspection staff.
Check measure of work done.
Observe site safety practices.
Report back as necessary to the Resident Engineer.
Record and display progress vs programme.
Prepare progress report.
Ensure correctness and completeness of "as-built" drawings.
What Required Skills You 'll Bring
Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline.
Licensed/Registered Engineer with a recognized authority.
12 years postgraduate experience.
5 years related experience.
