Section ‎1: Role and organisational context


Key purpose


Leading or participating in the formulation and improvement of the internal
auditing processes for HSEQ functions,


Consulting and collaborating with other functions to ensure agreed and
consistent auditing,


Implementing or participating in the implementation of internal audits across
multiple functions,


Leading or participating in internal audits and follow- up.


Providing training on auditing and mentoring as assigned.
Consulting across business lines/operations, providing mentorship, and
contributing specialized knowledge.
Providing subject expertise and guidance to all groups during project
development and construction.
Providing recommendations for procedural improvements
Documenting processes and disseminating information to all relevant
stakeholders
Support the definition of processes, policies, and procedures


Section ‎2: Role essentials


Based on the specific requirement of the role


Key accountabilities
Leading or participating in the formulation and continual improvement of the
internal and external
auditing processes for HSEQ functions.
Leading or participating in the health and safety, and other functional, audit
programmes across
NEOM Projects.
Providing competent advice to stakeholders on appropriate remedial actions
from audit findings.
Analysing and communicating audit findings in a timely and professional
manner.
Collaborating and co-ordinating with all relevant stakeholders to plan and
execute all aspects of the audit programmes.
Providing training and mentoring as required.


Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications
Knowledge


The candidate will have:
* a minimum of ‎15 years’ experience in health and safety with at least ‎8 in a managerial role and at least ‎5 in the construction sector.
* a minimum of ‎10 years health and safety experience in auditing in multi-site operations. Middle East construction experience would be desirable.
* valid qualifications as Lead Auditor: ISO ‎45001 (essential) and Lead or Internal Auditor OHSAS ‎18001 (desirable), ISO ‎14001 (desirable),
* an extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety legislation, risk assessment and international standards including ISO45001 and OHSAS ‎18001.
* an extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety auditing.
* The candidate should have experience in tracking, analysing, and reporting on
findings of audits,
* the candidate should experience in developing and implementing auditing procedures, training, and other such processes.
* clear understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.
* experience of working within an integrated team with a diverse mixture of nationalities and cultures.
* a proven background as team player across all internal and external project stakeholders.
* ability to work effectively within a team and developing meaningful internal and external relationships by building trust, acting with integrity and being approachable.
* proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* excellent oral and written communication skills.
* fluent spoken and written English skills.
* a valid driving license acceptable in Saudi Arabia

Qualification
A Degree in in safety, or a related field,
A minimum ‎15 years of related experience in the field of health and safety


Lead Auditor for ISO ‎45001 (essential) and Lead or Internal Auditor for OHSAS
‎18001 (desirable) and ISO ‎14001 (desirable),
Demonstrable credentials as a competent Health and Safety Manager.
A minimum of ‎15 years’ experience in health and safety with at least ‎8 in a
managerial role and at least ‎5 in the construction sector.
A minimum of ‎10 years’ experience in health and safety auditing in multi-site
operations.
Advanced knowledge of construction operations, project management and health
and safety in construction.
Competency in risk assessment, risk management and auditing.


Desirable:
Membership of a recognised and reputable professional organisation such as
IOSH.
