Chief Executive Officer

A government entity in Saudi Arabia has issued A Royal Decree to establish a
Development Authority in the Western Region of the country and recruit a Chief
Executive Officer. The aim is to develop the infrastructure and utilize the
natural components to improve the quality of life and services in these
regions through tourism, culture, and heritage.
I am looking to speak to executive leaders with experience in the following:
* Building a city's infrastructure to improve the quality of life and services provided
* Working with Tourism Boards and Culture Authorities
* Involvement with Development Authorities / Government Bodies
* Leading large complex organizations accompanied by success stories/achievements
RESPONSIBILITIES:

❑ Develop high-quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment
with short and long term objectives
❑ Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement to develop a
high performing managerial team
❑ Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the
desired results and are consistent with the
overall strategy and mission
❑ Make quality decisions on utilizing the authority's resources to advance its
mandates and objectives
❑ Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the
authority's legality and business ethics
❑ Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or
improvements
❑ Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point
of contact for key shareholders
❑ Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to
ensure the authority's survival and growth
❑ Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the authority
QUALIFICATIONS:

❑ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field
❑ MBA or Master's degree in respective field is highly preferred
❑ ‎15+ years' experience in a related development or tourism field within a
senior leadership capacity
❑ Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing long term
visions
❑ Experience working in the Middle East region within a similar capacity is
considered an asset
❑ Proven track record in previous roles with success/champion stories
outlining achievements
❑ Strong understanding of real estate, investments, finance and performance
management principles
❑ Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance,
etc.
❑ In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best
practices
❑ An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership
skills
❑ Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
❑ Excellent communication and public speaking skills with a strong command in
English
❑ Strong leadership, decision making, and communication skills
