As Lead Cost Engineer will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial
inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will
include all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates,
accruals & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and
procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase.
You will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other
professional colleagues within the industry and be the day-to-day client point
of contact for all cost related matters. As a team leader you will lead by
example and mentor junior members of staff.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management or
Business from an accredited school or University or equivalent related
experience is required.
+ Project Management/ Cost Management certification
Preferred Qualifications
+ Minimum 20+ years of related work experience in the engineering or
construction industry.
+ Experience preferably on large scale civil construction projects
+ Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering
functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis
+ Must be able to work under minimum supervision and be effective in a fast-
paced, demanding and lean environment providing quick yet accurate results
with the ability to multi-task independently.
+ Knowledge and understanding of execution of cost management services; good
planning, organization and communication skills essential.
+ Understanding of technical and non-technical documents related to cost
management services required.
+ Expert knowledge Microsoft Office software program.
