Revenue Analyst
Responsible for the analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with
the participating hotels' rooms and function space inventory. Assist for
preparation of forecasts (budgets and projections) and critiques of sales
strategy effectiveness. Develops/utilizes analytical tools and systems toward
the goal of maximizing total hotel revenue and profit. Responsible for
managing rooms and function space inventory; ensuring that the inventory is
allocated and restricted properly in order to maximize total hotel revenues
and profits. Ensures that all rates, packages, eChannels and hotel sales
strategy information is built in the hotel's inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
Manage demand, forecasting and inventory as it relates to driving total
revenue opportunity for the hotel
Maximize total revenues through a thorough understanding of all booking
channels, managing inventory and rate accordingly
Strong ability to work in collaboration with all profit centers head of
departments to collectively optimize total hotel revenue
Prepares revenue and profit opportunity analysis
Monitor transient and group booking pace in order to determine pricing and
availability controls for all reservation distribution sources
Monitor key indicators of hotel performance and third party intelligence
sources to identify revenue opportunities
Liaise with Reservations, Front Office, Distribution and Sales to ensure the
highest level of guest service is maintained while maximizing profit
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of analytical reports
Play an active role in the strategic plan, marketing plan and budgeting
processes
Stay current with industry changes and how it may impact demand
Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly analytical reports
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications and Skills :
Previous customer related experience required
Previous Property Manager System, CRS and OTAs experience required
Previous Reservation/Front Office experiences for ‎2 years is preferred
IDeaS RMS and Delphi working knowledge preferred
Computer literate in Microsoft applications required
Strong Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
Must be able to type ‎25 words per minute
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all
times
Luxury hotel sales experience, having had varied market mix experience
