JOB PURPOSE:
* Promoting safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
* Develop, implement and maintain EHS plan to bring the Company 's Safety Systems and Policies into compliance with system requirements.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
* Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
* Practice safe working techniques.
* Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
* Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
* Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
* Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
* Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly in the workshop
* Prepare Risk assessment and SMOW(safe method of work)
* Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures
* Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
* Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
* Regularly inspect equipment and PPE.
* Regular inspect the work and activities.
* Prepare and conduct Safety bulletin/ tool box talk
* Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
* Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and applying preventive measures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in Safety or NEBOSH DIPLOMA
* 3 years prior experience in EHS department.
* Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
* Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of quality & EHS standards.
* Experience in EHS system audits.
* Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer.
* Willingness to travel when required.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
* Knowledge of following standard
* ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 - HSE System
* ISO 9001 : 2015 - Quality Management System.
