Country Communications Manager, Saudi Arabia

**You as a Country Communications Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy

business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As country communications manager, you
are responsible for all communications activities in Saudi Arabia in close
cooperation with the respective country manager. This entails planning,
implementation and follow-up of all communication activities, both internal
and external, and to all relevant target groups. It is a broad area of
responsibility that includes both brand positioning, employee engagement,
content marketing and media relations in Saudi Arabia. Coordinating
responsibility for the activities in terms of planning, production and
execution in accordance with the communication plan as per country 's needs.
Responsible to propose and follow-up measurements of comms activities. Plan,
support, prepare and manage responses to positive and negative inquiries from
externals sources - includes crisis and issue-related social media escalations
and responses. Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits,
newsletters, launches, and related marketing materials. Respond to
communication-related issues in a timely manner. Establish an internal
communications strategy, ensure organizational initiatives and projects are
successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
* Strategy: Defining and leading execution of the communication strategy for the business Saudi Arabia, based on the overall business and market strategy; regularly measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the communication strategy against agreed objectives and KPIs; ensure relevant communication strategy and plans align with global business strategies and guidelines.
* Content Management, Internal and Digital Communications: Developing and managing the business internal and external communications in alignment with business themes and country priorities. Manage the application of the brand per Group guidelines and ensure the consistent application of visual branding and business messages in all communications and support the local business leadership team with executive communications.
* Event Management & Media Relations: Providing management guidance and develop business messages for key events such as industry conferences, tradeshows, and employee meetings in line with corporate branding strategy as well as develop and manage relationships with media.
* Specific tasks: Editorial, including the writing and editing of press releases, both general and technical ones, speeches, position papers, presentations, ensuring consistent content and messaging for thought leadership positioning, social media, building and maintain relations with media, storytelling, web-intranet projects, local translations (as required) and training and coaching spokespeople.
* Interdependencies: Working closely with colleagues to developing a local/national/regional/global communications strategy/thought leadership plan and defining processes/planning/external monitor activities to reflect business priorities and long-term positioning, in line with the global strategy and managing external media agencies to define a strategy and report on the media outreach results.

Your background
* A bachelor 's or master's in relevant field is required.
* Minimum ‎5 years of relevant experience in media and content interactions, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation.
* Be a good creative writer and storyteller with a desire to write.
* Proven experience to analyze, develop and collaborate relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders internally and externally, be a people person.
* Cross functional communication skills (media, investors, branding, editorial, web, internal, etc.)
* International experience - cross cultural
* Proactive engagement with national, regional, business and stakeholders
* Understanding of digital communications channels and the power of social media
* Exceptional writing/editing skills
* Proven experience to analyze and develop relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders.
* Strong networking ability and multi-cultural credentials
* Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities and strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
* Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
