Football Replay Operator (Saudi Arabia, Riyadh)

Location:* The majority of work will take place at the Replay Centre in
Riyadh, with further opportunities for travel across Saudi Arabia and
internationally.
Contract : Permanent, Full-Time
Salary starting at: ‎7,000 - ‎8,500 SAR per month
Start Date:* Immediate

About the Role

As a Football Replay Operator, you'll be responsible for VAR services in KSA,
working alongside referees and providing them with all of the information that
they need in order to make key decisions. You'll play a key role in the
delivery of our services to SAFF, the AFC Champions League and major
international tournaments like the World Cup.

You will start out working on our Video Assistant Referee (VAR) services, but
there will be the chance to gain exposure to various other services (such as
Goal Line Technology and Semi Automated Offside) as you grow in the role and
become a more experienced member of the team.

We will equip you with the technical training, assistance and full exposure to
our systems to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Pre-match planning
* Setting up Hawk-Eye technology in the Replay Centre (this can involve some manual handling of PCs and running cables)
* Conducting pre-match set up, checks and calibration of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
* Liaising with match officials and host broadcasters
* Using the systems during the match to respond to requests from referees
* Monitoring hardware and software performances, troubleshoot and report encountered issues
* Taking full ownership of our system on-site and being an ambassador for Hawk-Eye
* During the off-season, building and maintaining our hardware and equipment
* Assisting with installation and testing of new products and services
 
Your Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A technical background; with a desire to work with and learn new technologies
* Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with an inquisitive mindset
* Proactive attitude and good time management skills
* Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
* Willingness to travel domestically and to work overseas
* Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dedicated by the fixture list and can change at short notice
* we work whenever football happens, which means lots of weekends and evening matches
* A full valid driving licence is required and willingness to drive our vans
Nice to have:
* Ideally with a bachelor's degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience
* Preferable experience working with video technology/replay technology desirable, or live event/technical production
