Role Description:
We are looking to hire a junior level country-based HR Generalist for Saudi
Arabia; supporting and covering the MENA region (KSA, UAE and Qatar). The role
represents a tremendous opportunity for a sufficiently motivated and capable
individual to learn, develop and ultimately be responsible for supporting and
providing a full range of HR services.
The role is a key resource is supporting the country and business line
manager(s) and other support functions (Legal, Finance, Corporate Services,
etc.). It aims to guides, manage, lead and assist in a variety of employment
related tasks and queries - from problem solving and developing/implementing
solutions, to managing and administering these critical and necessary tasks.
Being a control function and part of the wider EMEA/MENA HR team, we partner
with other functions such as Compliance and Finance to ensure employees and
the organisation remains compliant with all aspects of local employment law,
functional policy and regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with the regional Comp & Ben team in London providing feedback and local market information re compensation and benefits topics to help ensure the organisation remains competitive in the market
* Partnering with the EMEA Recruitment and Onboardings team to help coordinate and ensure new hires are setup and properly on-boarded when joining the company
* Partner with the Global Mobility Team and Immigration vendors to manage the transfer and relocation of employees (inbound and outbound), ensuring employment documentation is in place for local/global legal compliance. processing visa and residency permits renewals and issuance, etc in Mugeem and assisting in the administration of visa invitations and letters with the Saudi Chamber of Commerce.
* Provide guidance and partner with line managers on performance management matters including issues resolution: career development, promotions, performance improvement, pay increases, and disciplinary actions.
* Partner with the EMEA Learning & Development team as local point of contact on training initiatives and plans.
* Partner with the HR Service Centre and the payroll team to ensure payroll matters are handled appropriately (GOSI registrations and de-registrations, submissions, monthly calculations, payments, deductions, annual updates)
* Pro-actively assist and partner in managing employee relations issues with line managers and escalating within HR as appropriate. Helping to coordinate employee performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and providing management guidance regarding employee issues and mitigating any potential risks.
* Be aware of and partner with legal teams (internal & external) regarding existing and new legislations as enacted by the MLSD (Ministry of Labour & Social Development), GOSI (General Organisation for Social Insurance), etc. Updating employee policies and guidelines, ensuring they remain in compliance with the local labour law and regulations
* Provide reports/information for both internal and external audit partners, linking in internal teams where required i.e. Headcount reporting, organisation charts, etc.
* Partner and maintain strong vendor management relations (i.e. legal, insurance, recruitment and compensation and benefits consultancy firms)
* Responsible for administering and processing MLSD related tasks and requirements, such as helping to ensure healthy and compliant Saudization levels, ensuring employee records are correctly and accurately captured, etc.
* The Riyadh Municipality portal - ensuring the licence for MLKSA is updated annually in partnership with the Corporate Services team and the MENA COO
What we are looking for:
* As a minimum some HR related experience is essential, international exposure i.e. with a global/multinational Company will be useful
* A person who is motivated, eager to learn and has an appetite to develop
* Fluency (written & verbal) in English and Arabic is essential.
* A degree in Business Administration, or Human Resources Management is preferred.
* An individual who demonstrates honesty and integrity.
