Senior Information Technology Engineer I

Job Purpose:
Maintain, support and manage Data Center Infrastructure in a 24x7 high
availability environment. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing,
repairing and upgrading all corporate systems, computing devices and storages
while ensuring its optimal performance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
* Conduct quality assurance on project deliverables - test, evaluate, develop and implement computer applications and systems.
* Support computer production systems - Maintain, monitor, support, troubleshoot existing applications and systems and implement resolutions.
* Perform support to operations monitoring of IT systems and problems response and resolution.
* Analyze and approve changes to computing infrastructures.
* Adhere to security and safety regulations and rules.
* Provide continuous improvement feedback on IT operation and support.
* Provide continuous improvement feedback on implemented Business Processes.
* Work with systems analysts, operating personnel, vendor representatives, and Applications personnel.
* Assist other teams in solving operational problems, gathering information, defining operating systems objectives, and developing and presenting recommendations.
* Determine data gathering methods needed to monitor hardware and software performance and forecast future needs.
* Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
* Recommend, schedule and perform hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades and repairs.
* Physical Server preparation: Install and configure a physical server with Operating System Software, Security software and Network setup.
* Virtual Server preparation: Install and configure a virtual server in the Virtual Environment with Operating System Software, Security software and Network setup.
* • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft ‎365.
* Responsible for architecting, planning ,implementing and operating desktop virtualization technology.
* Allocate Storage to Physical Servers from Storage Area Networks.
* Allocate storage to Virtual Servers from Storage Area Networks.
* Perform daily systems' monitoring/troubleshooting/maintenance.
* Apply quarterly Hardware/Software/Security patches and System upgrades.
* Perform scheduled backup of current systems' infrastructure using leading enterprise backup solutions, and verify its restore, as well as verifying the backup of existing hosted applications.
* Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
* Practice systems and hardware asset management, including maintenance of systems component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
* Prepare technical notes, technical specification requirements and presentation whenever needed.
* Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to secure systems products and services.
* Conduct research on systems products, services, protocols and standards to remain abreast of developments in the systems industry.
* Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess short & long-term systems capacity needs.
* Conduct capacity planning and enhancement according to new technology.
* Participate and implement future IT development.
* Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
* Follow and comply with Health Affairs Policies and Procedures.
* Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's knowledge, skills and abilities.
* Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
* Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Education and Professional Certifications/Licenses, Experience
Minimum or Required:
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Technology or, Communications, information sciences, or a related field.
* MCSE certificate (or equivalent) is a must.
* Basic SAN and Virtualization training/certificate.
VMware Certificate.
* ‎8 years of Experience
Preferred:
* Master degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Information Technology or, Communications, information sciences, or a related field.
* ITIL Foundation certificate.
* ‎6 years of Experience
