Assists with the procurement, maintenance, transportation, cleaning and
sterilizing of Respiratory equipment's and supplies.
1. Maintains respiratory stock levels for Intensive Care Units and Pulmonary
Function Laboratory.
2. Assesses and orders warehouse stock requests into computerized inventory
system.
3. Receives stock supplies from warehouse and assists with distribution to
all RCS areas.
4. Assesses stock and supplies and maintains RCS database for the annual
physical inventory.
5. Performs quarterly inspection of all Hospital RCS intubation code boxes
(except ICUs) to ensure that all devices are resent and in ood workin
condition.
6. Orders respiratory medical gases as required.
7. Maintains appropriate oxygen "E" cylinder levels in the ICUs, General
Care Wards, Clinics, Department of Emer enc Medicine.
8. Monitors physical condition of cylinders. Designates cylinders requiring
sandblasting, painting and stencillin and communicates re uirement to su lier
for action.
9. Ensures that adequate medical gas cylinders are available in areas
requiring expansion and/or repair.
High School Education is required.
Experience Required**
No experience is required (on-job training).
Formal training in Respiratory Care or any related discipline is preferred.
Knowledge of medical consumable supplies including Oracle process is
preferred.
Knowledge of handling medical gas cylinders is preferred.
Experience in cleaning and sterilization practice is referred.
