Job Description
Manage & maintain logistics operations and compliance as per regional
regulations, manage, improve and implement overall strategy of logistics
locally and globally with KPI's monitoring as per Emerson global logistics
standards. Responsible for the implementing short- and long-term strategic
direction for global logistics operations. This strategy will follow all
Emerson Automation Solutions and Emerson Corporate directives where practical
with emphasis on the "prime" carrier program and freight consolidations to
maximize profitability.
All control and administration of shipping and delivering processes, trade
compliance responsibility with SASO/SABER requirements. Work closely with
corporate logistics to apply the long-term strategies to enhance the overall
logistics performance. Manage freight forwarders and brokers to maintain the
required performance and lead times.
Source and coordinating the local suppliers purchase requests.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage all locale and global shipments clearances and documents requirements for export & import.
* Direct the procurement of all product and goods transportation and related freight handling services for Electrical & Lighting MEA.
* Manage maintenance for freight payment, claims management, proof of delivery to meet business unit requirements and daily inbound and outbound operational needs.
* Manage compliance & product certifications requirements as local authorities SASO/SABER.
* Liaise with freight forwarders and brokers, monitor performance and compliance.
* Lead the shipping process with suppliers internally and externally for the best practice.
* Manage Import & export operations with monitoring overall performance.
* Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives through mode shift, consolidation, and optimization of shipments.
* Monitor Saudi regulations and requirements with measuring impact on BU.
* Manage material exemptions and monitor materials duty cost.
* Coordinate with planning to meet the lead time requirements.
* Work closely with corporate logistics to improve and implement the long-term strategy as per Emerson requirements.
* Provide input to Sales and Marketing for preferred sales terms (INCOTERMS) and cost/pricing for logistics value add services.
* Implement, manage, and report out on global logistics metrics.
* Any other assignment as needed to support business needs.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or similar.
* 3-5 years' experience.
* Electrical & lighting hazardous product logistics/compliance experience.
* ERP system experience.
* Compliance regulations and HS codes well understanding.
Preferred Qualifications
* Supply chain/Logistics management professional certificate.
* SABER /SASO experience.
