JOB PURPOSE*
* Lead the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and successful
closure of projects aligned to APICORP's needs while ensuring objectives are
met within budgetary requirements. The role will be responsible for the
complete project lifecycle, the project team and resources, the project
budget, internal policies and procedures, Managing Information System (MIS),
Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) forecast and deployment. The incumbent will be
accountable to manage projects as part of a portfolio within a wide array of
project types.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
*Facilities and Maintenance Management
* Jointly (with the Maintenance Supervisor) evaluate the state of APICORP's physical assets and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations
* Continuously monitor and evaluate APICORP's facilities, equipment, plans, physical assets to ensure operational standards for effectiveness are met.
* Direct management of major projects and oversight of projects / major tasks in coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor and Head of Facility and HSSE Management


Project Management
* Leading the development of the internal standards for design and execution of projects to ensure alignment with APICORP's facilities image and contractual agreements in line with internal/HSSE guidelines and policy.
* Manage and monitor CAPEX project plans relating to the APICORP's facilities and organizational plans and follow up with contractors and consultants in order to ensure that implementation is in line with project milestones and management decisions.
* Lead in the development and execution of project initiation activities including, requirements gathering & management, project charter and project execution plan development, stakeholder identification and management.
* Prepare project schedule and estimate development methods and tools, and establishment of cost and schedule baselines that will establish the performance expectations of project lifecycles.
* Executes projects by following standardized project management processes, specifically; scope management, change management, communications management, quality management, resource-needs planning and management, and project information and data management.
* Direct the work of a multi-disciplinary project team and to provide members of the team with appropriate encouragement, guidance, and feedback on that work in accordance with relevant project documentation and procedures
* Hands on experience with the typical steps of a different project types and steps from submittals and RFI's, to testing and commissioning, as-builts, and closeout.
* Improve resource utilization, daily progress documentation, logistical scheduling and planning


Procurement
* Engage strategic relationships with APICORP's operation and maintenance suppliers and vendors in order to ensure that all projects are executed according to plans and standards.
* Oversee suppliers/vendors' performance based on service level agreement in order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning of all APICORP's facilities.
* Be knowledgeable in project procurement management; areas of required knowledge and experience include contract types, contract and subcontract negotiations, and development of statements of work, requests for information, and requests for proposals.


Relationship Management
* Oversee and direct the negotiation with external vendors of supply and contracts, e.g. furniture, equipment and services in order to ensure that APICORP receives the highest service levels at the lowest cost.
* Maintain good government relations to ensure efficient processing of ministry, municipal and local governing bodies' requirements, and documents.
* Communicate with contractors, clients, and all team members effectively and timely to ensure project success


Budgeting & Financial Performance
* Prepare and recommend the CAPEX/projects' budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly


Reporting
* Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports of to meet operational / business requirements, policies and standards.
* Develop, deliver, and present monthly project status reviews and briefings.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Knowledge of Primavera is a benefit, but at a minimum must understand scheduling relationship types, basic scheduling knowledge, critical path, etc.


EXPERIENCE
* (‎8-‎10) years of project management and related experience in the Maintenance field
* Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
* Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
