Job description
* Direct responsible for purchase of direct parts
* Understanding of procedures / processes, specification and Incoterms
* Identifies and realizes cost savings opportunities
* Manage Price Variance versus budget, standard and last purchase
* Develops supplier relationships and track performance
* Collaborate with Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP) Category Managers
* Support operational effectiveness
Experience Requirement :
* 5-7 years purchasing/materials management experience with a minimum of 3 years in purchasing
* Must demonstrate strong negotiation, planning and interpersonal skills in order to interact with co-workers and suppliers in a teamoriented environment.
* Excellent negotiating skills and interpersonal skills.
* Good written and verbal communications.
* Microsoft PC skills required and versatile in handing data
* Understand Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
* Have experience in SAP will be an advantage
* Proactive & willing to learn
* Willing to accept role rotation within Materials Management as and when needed.
* Willing to perform overtime as and when needed
Education
* Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing
