General Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
* Perform control activities as assigned by the Accounting Manager. This may include preparation or review of account reconciliations, financial analyses, webform preparation, etc. and other SOX or IFRS related control documentation.
* Review and manage expense and revenue accruals.
* Prepare files for auditing purposes.
* Prepare journal entries, including but not limited to depreciation, prepayments, accruals, cost allocations, reclassifications and corrections.
* Depending on department structure, the role may be responsible for preparing depreciation and amortization schedules, VAT returns, customs or VAT reconciliations, WHT, IKTVA related schedules and analysis.
* Clearing function of payments for bank accounts.
* Preparation of walkthroughs and process narratives for key accounting processes.
* Other task that may be assigned or delegated.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
* Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, CA or equivalent) preferred
* Working knowledge of standard application software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Good knowledge accounting principles and standards.
* Great attention to details, along with ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
* Strong communication, planning and organization skills
* Strong desire to work across teams to find solutions and improve performance
* Planning, including ability to plan and supervise workloads
* Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Time management including ability to handle stressful periods and work under pressure
* Adherence to company compliance standards and high ethics principles.
