Basic Function
Responsible for the general ledger (including monthly reconciliation) and
drives & executes the Month End Accounts Close process.
Key Accountabilities:
* Reports to the General Ledger Lead and working closely with other General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Accountants.
* Prepares financial reporting to Fugro Group and external parties.
* Key point of contact for Business Line & Service Line Managers, AR & AP Accountants, Group Controlling, Tax Accountant and external auditors among others.
* Manages the Fixed Assets register.
* Manages and reconciliate Inventory records.
* Ensure that the Month End Check List for Accounts Closing and Reporting is completed.
* Continuously looks for improvements in the management of the general ledger and Month End Close and Financial Reporting processes.
* Assist with month-end close duties and other tasks when necessary.
* Ensure all work activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company policies and standards
Inventory and Fixed Assets Accountant
* Correct costing and accounting of inventories and fixed assets;
* Periodic inventory and fixed asset counts, either quarterly or annually;
Reconciliations and Audits Accountant
* Accounting reconciliation and analysis including bank reconciliations, balance sheet analysis & schedules and accounting variance analysis.
* Coordinate and fulfil various audit requirements, statutory, internal or client driven, e.g. annual statutory accounts, In-Kingdom Total Value Audit (IKTVA), statutory Local Content audit and closure of internal audit observations from the Internal Audit Departments of both JV Partners of the company, i.e. Al Suhaimi Group and Fugro Group.
Project Accountant
* Responsible for proper Project and Business Divisions Accounting especially on monthly profitability result, cost & unbilled receivable accruals, revenue recognisition.
* Work and coordinate closely with the Business Division Managers, Project Managers and Project Controllers.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience required:
* Diploma or Degree in Accountancy.
* Fluency in Arabic and English languages, both written and spoken.
* Minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
* Track record of meeting deadlines and producing accurate work.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
