Job Purpose

• Plan production with a very high level of understanding trade-offs between service, inventory, and manufacturing costs


• The role requires a comprehensive understanding of existing and future capacity plans/ constraints at the manufacturing plant, and knowledge of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand


• Contact point to supply planning manager for production plan sign off


• Contact point to production scheduler/ factory manager for adherence to plan, constraints, and exceptions


• Ensure planning is aligned to service and OWC KPIs

Key Accountabilities

• Maintains the rough-cut capacity plan with inputs from various stakeholders in the IBP process


• Prepares gap closing proposals in supply planning and capacity graphs for the hub supply review


• Finite production and capacity planning based on demand inputs, plant capability, factory calendar


• Master production plan release for production plant/ manufacturing cells


• Manages and resolves demand exceptions with Factory Manager/ Scheduler, Hub/ Supply Planning Manager in accordance with IBP rules


• Reviews schedule adherence and drives improvement


• Balance service level (OTIF) and inventory targets (OWC), whilst understanding cost impacts on manufacturing


• Analyze OTIF root cause analysis for failures and drive improvement plans


• Inputs and maintains inventory stocking policies, safety stock levels on ERP system


• Inputs to inventory strategy on existing, new and phase-out products


• Establish full year inventory plan and track performance aligned to work capital targets


• Analyze root cause analysis for inventory plan deviations and drive improvement plans


• Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock


• Monitor FINI distributed to DCs as contact point to resolve over/ under stock position


• Lead local site supply reviews with Supply Manager

Experience

• A minimum of ‎4 years of Production and Inventory Management experience


• University Graduate in relevant discipline


• Experience in SAP and strong Excel knowledge


• Valid light motor vehicle license


• Good communication skills and problem solving skills
