Description
Zewail City of Science and Technology is hiring a Director for the "Center of
Imaging and Microscopy (CIM).
The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent and active
research track and lead the Center of Imaging and Microscopy to establish the
CIM as a nationally and internationally recognized research center in
ultrafast spectroscopy and 4D electron microscopy. The successful candidate is
expected to teach courses at the related programs within the university of
science and technology for graduate and/or undergraduate level according to
his/her area of specialty. Additionally, the successful applicant is expected
to secure extramural funds to support the CIM activities and to contribute
actively towards the different academic administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in the field of physics, physical
chemistry, nanotechnology or a relevant field with a focus in laser physics,
ultrafast imaging, modern spectroscopy, electron microscopy, 4D electron
microscopy or related areas.
The candidate should have at least 10 years of research experience in the
required field after Ph.D. including at least two years of postdoctoral
research after his/her Ph.D. in related research areas such as electron
microscopy, imaging techniques, 4D electron microscopy, laser physics, and
ultrafast spectroscopy. Teaching experience is preferable.
