Job Description

Department: Counseling Center
Reports to: Director-Counseling Center
Scope and Purpose
* Oversees all programming development for major events, workshops, guest speakers related to mental health and disability services.
* Works with faculty and staff from various departments to provide tailored services for students, staff, and faculty.
* Offers personal counseling to students with disabilities and mental health issues.
* Develops and maintains a program for disability or mental health services to streamline communication between students with disabilities and faculty.
* Offers crisis and emergency counseling for students.
* Involved in various campus committees and boards as a representative for the department.
* Assists in Departmental Policy and Procedure development.
* Meets with prospective students with disabilities, assesses their case and provides feedback to Admissions.
* Conducts workshops on various topics to educate students on the field of mental health and disabilities.
* Meets with faculty or parents when needed.
* Assists in proctoring students with disabilities outside the classroom.
* Organizes Monthly Reports and Annual Reports for Administration.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Counseling Center.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or related field.


• Minimum of five years experience in individual and group counseling, disability services, crisis intervention, outreach, education, consultation, and clinical supervision, preferably in a college/university setting.
