At John Crane we are looking for a Service Manager will be responsible for
providing in house service repair support and delivery of value adding site
support to customers in Jubail. This is a supervisory role of a service team.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide strong technical and service support to all customers
* Prepare detailed inspection reports
* Provision of onsite service support to the customers in terms of decommissioning / commissioning of John Crane products
* Manage the workshop activities
* Attending emergency service jobs
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of service orders, tools, and equipment.
* Ensure all activities fully comply with the local and company Health & Safety requirements.
* Product assessment to enable commercial staff to quote
* Establish machining operations where applicable.
* Analyze, train and monitor the workforce for special processes including lapping lapping/spray coating/assembly and dismantling seals or cartridges.
* Stores/Stock management.
* Pre upgrade equipment measurement
* Attend site for seal installations and or trouble shoot
* Analyze the order book and workflows and creating meaningful outcomes that can drive the business.
* Support the team in contracts and commercial decisions by providing insights from service perspective.
* Managing the site requirements with purchasing team and suppliers.
* Enhance the process and reduce waste.
* Forecasting and maintaining healthy order book in service and communicating with related teams.
* Resolve service and quality issues and make corrective actions.
* Collaborate with the teams and provide insights to ensure growth in wet service.
* Manage team objectives and KPIs and provide solutions to overcome issues and development, including QHSE KPIs.

The Individual
* University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field. Diploma applicants will be considered if they have experience in mechanical seal service
* Previous relevant product Service Experience both in house and on site
* 5+ years of professional experience in workshop service.
* Ability to discuss and negotiate at all levels
* Rotating equipment operation and service experience
* Self-driven, capable of making decisions, excellent communications skills
* Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an advantage
* Extensive knowledge rotating equipment and ability to carry out Failure and Root Cause analyses
* Sound knowledge on all John Crane products
* Strong Commercial and Technical Skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Advanced SAP and Excel knowledge
* Fluent English, while speaking in Arabic is an advantage
* Confident and able to deal with very challenging situations in a calm and credible manner.
* Adaptable, flexible and appreciative of an array of cultures and customs.
* Team player and willing to travel
