Les Roches, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu
Dhabi, is opening a world-class hospitality management academy in Abu Dhabi in
September 2024. As part of the pre-opening preparations, we are recruiting the
members of the Les Roches Abu Dhabi Executive Management Committee.
The Head of Human Resources will be based in Abu Dhabi and will report to
the Campus Managing Director.
The Head of Human Resources oversees and manages all HR related activities
within the academy, including people strategy and culture, rewards,
organizational development, talent sourcing and recruitment, performance and
career development, learning and development and HR operations. He/she ensures
the effective execution of the Academy's HR strategy to attract, develop and
retain a competent and motivated workforce that supports the achievement of
its objectives.
The Head of Human Resources serves as the link between The Management, HR
Department, and Employees to embody the brand/organization's identity and
Emirati culture. He/she facilitates and animates interactions within the
campus, nurturing a sense of belonging amongst all employees and creating a
positive and inclusive work culture, where every employee feels comfortable,
valued and empowered.
For the role of Head of Human Resources of this new pioneering academy, we
are looking for a senior HR expert with a successful, proven track record in
an international complex organization. To be eligible for the role, you
imperatively need to have experience in the UAE 's professional environment,
hold a master's degree in management, business, law or human resources and
have at least 10 years of experience in an HR management function, including
managing significant organizational change and challenging and influencing at
senior manager level.
You have expertise in project management, coaching, training, negotiating and
are an influencer and diplomat and you have a fluent level of spoken and
written English and Arabic.
As Head of HR your main missions will be to:
Strategic level
* Developing and implementing the department's strategy, policies, initiatives, and projects and reviewing and monitoring department's plans, policies, and programs to ensure improvement in the department's performance and achievement of its objectives.
* Managing the development of the annual budget for the department in line with the overall plan.
Operational level
Employee Relations
* Assisting all departments, line managers and the Management Team to understand and implement internal policies and procedures. Advise on employment legislation, dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures and manage complex legal cases in collaboration with legal counsels.
* Managing, providing guidance and proactive support to line managers on employee relations, -communications and leadership practices and enhancing collaboration.
* Ensuring the best social climate possible, alerting difficult and unethical situations, implementing actions to increase overall employee well-being
Payroll and Administration
* Managing workforce planning and staff workload within the department through the appropriate delegation of work.
* Managing the whole process of compensation review and bonus, advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
* Ensuring legal compliancy in all HR administrative tasks and documents and advising Employees on HR related issues.
* Manage, facilitate and oversee all steps of the full employee life cycle.
Talent and Performance Management
* Driving a performance culture through the effective use of tools and performance management processes, analyzing performance reviews and providing guidance to line managers for follow-up cases and identify development needs and plans.
* Managing the performance of subordinates within the department on an ongoing basis; ensuring performance reviews are conducted, tracking agreed goals and competencies. Identifying the training and developmental priorities for the department to ensure that all subordinates are adequately skilled to perform their roles and responsibilities.
* Delivering HR-related trainings, being involved in all Talent Management activities and encouraging promotion of internal talent.
Internal Engagement and Communication
* Building and ensuring employee engagement, define action plans accordingly and driving Corporate Social responsibility awareness and actions.
* Being a key actor in internal communication and act as an event manager for the internal community.
Change Management and Organizational optimization
* Plan and forecast HR needs, ensuring the organization has the required talent and workforce to achieve business objectives. Contributing to the improvement of people productivity and cost effectiveness in the business through measurement, benchmark comparison and deriving recommendations.
* Providing both transformational advice and transactional support on change management and organizational design activities including restructuring / job role design / organizational models.
* Providing Project Management support and HR expertise to the business with specific related projects.
Recruitment
* Managing the full cycle of hiring and induction from determining needs, creation of job description, approbation, sourcing, interview processes, selection, offer and on-boarding of new employees for all departments.
