Position Summary
As a key member of the Initiative Management unit under the Department of
Strategy, Future and Institutional Performance at HCT, the Projects Manager is
responsible for individual project management support for a range of strategic
initiatives/projects that span across one or more business units in the
organization.
He/She will have project management responsibility for projects assigned by
the Associate Director Strategic Programs to include management of issues,
risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project
delivery.
Requirements
Contribute to the development of regular high-level reporting on projects and
budgets as part of the wider Departmental responsibility to ensure effective
management, reporting, and communication of the HCT strategic mission and
progress.
Full project life cycle management: successful project delivery will include
full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several
minor initiatives simultaneously to ensure alignment to strategic objectives.
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and
partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources on projects assigned by
senior management
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable,
dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership
Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance
reviews for direct subordinates (senior Specialists) based on HCT's
Performance Management System
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment, coaching,
and mentoring of UAE Nationals in the unit, including working with Emiratis
who will be assigned as shadows to each individual Manager.
