Responsible for the planning of Track and Yard workspace in a customerfocused
environment, devising an effective utilization plan, enablingoperations to
operate in an efficient and cost-focused manner.
To proactively respond to changing circumstances and respond with
solutionideas as appropriate.
Responsible for self and the training of a relief role holder, this
willinclude establishing and training standard operating procedures for
allelements of the role. To provide customer responses to questions and
queriesrelating to track utilization and availability.
Financially aware of operational impact on costs,focused on providing a plan
that enables efficient operations while retaining akeen visibility of resource
demands and costs.

Objectives and Role Profile

Ensurestringent compliance to legislative and ADP's predefined Health, Safety
&Environmental guidelines. Ensuring strict control measures are in
maintainedand understood by all staff and visitors to the site.
To beresponsible for Terminal operations strategy as defined by the Management
team.This would include;
Structureand write all relevant operating processes in close collaboration
with shiftand terminal managers, record and measure compliance with such
processes, andensure training and performance records of all staff (insource
and outsource)are maintained in relation to such processes
Defray the role of a superuser in implementation of Rail Terminal TOS. Ensure
thatall likely scenarios of rail ops are thoroughly tested and retested in
time forroll out of TOS for commencement of rail operations by successfully
carrying out the UAT Rail Terminals TOS.
Ensure thatall billable scenarios are properly captured and in a timely manner
in the TOSat the time of Rail Operation always.
The operational management of multiple tracksideand yard operational demands.
Besides effectively defray the duties ofdispatcher for all the rail yard boxes
from/to rail, road and ITT

Key Tasks and Performance Indicators

Ensure correct allocation of all theresources as in RMGCs, RSTs, TTs, etc, for
rail and buffer operation anddispatch the work instructions to them in a
timely manner.
Develop detailed and accurate performancedata and monitor the rail activities
through real time updating to achievehighest productivity.
Update the rail log for the railarrival/departure and commence/complete
timings, breakdowns and report toexecution team when required.
Plan the housekeeping from buffer to other stakeholderrail yards and vise-
versa.
Producingprompt and accurate operational reports that accurately reveal
operationalperformance and any related documentation, ensuring correct
reportingprocedures are maintained.
Takeresponsibility for productive rail planning with due consideration to
Gate,Rail, ITT, buffer, load and discharge operations.
Takeresponsibility for efficient and highly productive rail planning ops
ensuringthat all the parameters and conditions set by Etihad Rail are met
without anyexceptions and lapses.
Plan andmonitor the execution of loading and discharging sequence for rail
operation.
Ensure thatequipment is assigned in the correct way and utilized to achieve
highproductivity.
Trendanalysis by season, customer, shipping line, etc.
Accountablefor establishing a terminal operations plan to successfully deliver
in improvedsafety, quality, service and efficiency on a day-to-day basis.
Deliveringdaily plan information, identifying when possible opportunities and
threats todelivery.
Definitionand delivery of KPRT processes and IT systems, including
modification and faultcorrection in close collaboration with system sup-users
and suppliers
Providingguidance and support to the wider team, to include conducting regular
‎1-1s toinfluence and motivate employees to achieve their potential.
Identifyingand escalating any below standard performance where necessary.
Ensuringworking methods are used to maximize efficiency.
Proactively working across the Operations teamto support key contacts to drive
best operational performance. Being sensitiveand sympathetic to our customers'
requirements and understand what theirexpectations are of us and how we should
deliver

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

Diploma or Degree
Strong understanding of Rail Freightoperations, regulations and standards.
Experience of container terminal operatingsystems
Experience of working and making decisionsin a pressurized environment with a
track record of delivering results underthese conditions.
Evidence of maintaining Service LevelAgreements and use of contractual KPI's
to monitor & improveperformance.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability tocommunicate with staff, service
providers and customers.
