Main Job Responsibilities:
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Import concepts rules and regulations.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of vessel clearance and port procedures.
* Ability to read, interpret and analyze domestic and international shipping documents, contracts and procedures.
* Work closely with transportation providers ensuring efficient and effective execution of defined processes. This includes confirming shipment ETA's, reviewing routing, confirming shipping line, government agencies and port releases, requesting/confirming wire payments, scheduling delivery appointments and dispatching orders.
* As needed, assist in negotiating freight rates with transportation providers, targeting cost reduction, freight savings and service.
* Perform invoicing and allocate freight costs. Liaison with Brand Managers, Accounting and transportation providers, as needed, to resolve discrepancies.
* Facilitate the shipping of products from the suppliers to our warehouses.
* Coordinate with freight forwarders/ shipping lines/Clearing agency to avoid any delays and reduce conflicts.
* Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels
* Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
* Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
* Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
Job Specifications:
* Bachelor degree from reputable university, Logistics or Supply Chain Major.
5+ to 7 years experience in Import Logistics.
* Familiar with e-business & electronic procedures in custom clearance procedures.
* English Proficiency is a must.
* Very good computer skills, especially with Advanced Excel.
