Responsibilities:
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
* Professional Accounting Designation.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in accounting.
* Minimum five years experience in technical accounting, policy and/or financial reporting.
* Strong organizational and communication skills with an attention to detail.
Qualifications:
JOB SCOPE:

Applies knowledge and assists in the development and continued maintenance of
the Company's financial reporting systems and internal reporting utilities and
close process. Analyze and overcome obstacles to effectively deliver
information and to promote the timely production and availability of financial
data to management for decision making. Review and monitor financial
transactions with the ability to understand impacts to management reports.
Address questions from colleagues, management, and other internal customers.
Understand the core businesses of the Company and related organizational
structure. Review and monitor financial transactions. Coordinate financial
report preparation and analysis for actual, budget and forecast data.
Interacts with other departments and other business units to resolve issues.
Challenges status quo and recommends process improvements to enhance
productivity, timeliness, data integrity, and quality of work products. May
resolve complex accounting issues through technical research and collaboration
with the Technical Accounting group. This position will focus on assisting to
strengthen our current internal reporting to ensure the department is
positioned to manage increased demands in a dynamic growth - oriented
environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Technical Accounting / Policy Assist in the research of proper accounting guidance for non-routine transactions.
* Assist in the development of Corporate Accounting policies.
* Assist in the Balance Sheet allocation for the annual goodwill impairment test.
* Assist in preparation of slides for the delivery of Finance Essential training.
* Assist with various special projects and support other Finance functions as necessary.
* Business Development Assist in general ledger coding for potential business acquisitions.
* Support changes to Goodwill quarterly. Maintain appropriate documentation for business acquisitions.
* Co-ordinate recording of business acquisitions and due-diligence as necessary.
* Derivative Accounting Prepare analysis of Currency Gain loss by currency monthly Prepare analysis of Intercompany exposure reported to actual intercompany balances.
* Coordinate explanations of material intercompany exposure variances with responsible personnel.
* Maintain reporting entities and contacts in Access database.
* Liaison with Treasury personnel regarding discrepancies between forecasted currency gain loss and actual gain loss.
