General Accountant
The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an
outstanding General Accountant to join a well-established, supportive team in
a highly successful and expanding school.
About the Role
The General Accountant plays a key role in delivering and improving the
financial performance of the school. He or she will work closely with the
Extended Leadership Team of the school, working to ensure the very best
provision for our students and our families.
Working with a team of finance colleagues, the General Accountant will ensure
operational excellence as well as demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach to
improving existing practices and procedures. A strong commercial mind will be
of great benefit in assisting with the development of further commercial
opportunities for the school.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications,
skills and experience:
* CIMA, ACCA, ACA or other accounting qualification.
* Experience and proven ability in a management accounting role.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* High level of personal integrity.
* Experience of NAVISION accountancy software.
* Experience of working in an educational environment.

Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two
professional referees, one of which should be your current line manager.
