Summary:
The work schedule for this position is Full time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period
of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or
clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Basic Function of the Position:
Voucher Examiner : Responsible for timely and accurate payments of
approximately one quarter of the 16,000 vouchers processed by Abu Dhabi
annually. Voucher types range from vendor invoices and grants to employee
reimbursement payments for 30 USG agencies totally approximately $80 million.
Responsible for ensuring proper payment and account reconciliation of assigned
accounts including utilities, leases, employee allowances (housing, education,
homeward passage) and Citibank credit card payments. Processes rejections and
advance clearances, and responds to Bangkok audit queries as required.
Responsible for preparing the Embassy's Value added Tax (VAT) refund claim
valued at approximately $1,500,000 annually, and the Embassy's Excise VAT
refund claim valued at approximately $7500 annually. One of three voucher
examiners in Abu Dhabi. Perform assigned tasks, receives guidance, and
directly reports to the Supervisory Voucher Examiner.
Alternate Cashier : Serves as the alternate Class B Cashier with a permanent
advance of $17,600 for 34 USG agencies at Post. When the Class B Cashier is
out for long periods, operates with the full Class B accountability of
$100,000. Performs the full range of cashier duties while serving as the Class
B cashier. Reports directly to the Financial Management Officer while
performing cashiering duties.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressive experience in payments and cashiering
required.

Education Requirements:
Completion of two years of post-secondary education at college or university
level is required.
