Position: Front Office Manager (Full time #‎534813)
Property / Office: Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Responsibilities
* Supports company's philosophy and company culture through the use of pillars and legendary quality experiences on a daily basis to ensure guest satisfaction and the achievement of our mission statement.
* To formulate and implement the strategy related to the hotel's daily operational needs ensuring consistent guest services, colleague productivity, and safety while constantly striving for improvement.
* Responsible for the leadership and achievement of performance targets of the Rooms Division.
* Personally, welcomes and bid farewell guests in all VIP categories as well as repeat guests; recognize and anticipate their individual needs.
* Ensure that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental are properly understood and followed through.
* Perform all aspects of human resources and training functions, including counselling, coaching, training, disciplinary actions for Front Services colleagues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and guests.
* Handle all guest complaints and comments relating to the department efficiently and tactfully in line with MOHG standards.
* Manage the Front Office FOCUS (Upselling) Program, encouraging participation and growth.
* Experience in managing large group arrival and departures.
* Develop and execute strategic and long-term objectives, as required by Director of Rooms.
* Monitor in house guests' satisfaction and manage guests' complaint.
Key competencies and background
* Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field
* Minimum of two (‎2) year of experience in the same role within an international luxury hotel group
* Experience in a large fast paced luxury property
* Impeccable guest service skills and someone who enjoys creating delightful moments for guests
* Able to thrive in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong operational leadership with a business acumen
* Candidate with excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English. Ability to speak fluent Mandarin or German language is an advantage
