Administrative Assistant
We require an administrative assistant to complement our existing team,
handling a portfolio of commercial material damage claims. Duties will include
supporting the team in all aspects of their day-to-day work-related
activities.
Opportunity
This is a full-time position, generally office-based, but with facility to
work from home on an occasional basis. Working Week/hours: 5 days per week
from Sunday to Thursday and from 8 am to 5 pm each day with a one-hour daily
lunch break; with the primary place of work being Kuwait City.
Role and Responsibilities
* Translation of Arabic/English documents as required
* Providing Secretarial support to Country Manager and Deputy Country Manager
* Interface and liaison with our Mandoob to assist them in their appointed tasks such as processing and carrying out transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registration, pertaining to employees and the company itself.
* Assisting Country Manager and Finance Credit Controller, as required
* Processing employee requests and providing relevant information
* Answering the telephone, routing the calls, taking, and relaying messages in a timely manner
* Write and distribute emails and letters
* Collate and interpret documentation and analyze claim documents for appropriate distribution and filing.
* Assisting adjusters in researching technical and legal questions.
* Provide general support to visitors
* Demonstrate and be a role model for Sedgwick values.
Ad Hoc Duties
Such other duties and tasks as allocated to you at the discretion of
management that are within your capabilities and within the scope of this
role.
Skills:
* Fluency in written English and Arabic, sufficient to undertake translation tasks to a high degree of accuracy
* Excellent telephone manner and verbal communication skills - Arabic and English
* Profound and practical working knowledge of typical office suite programs, especially MS Office

* Enthusiastic, with excellent motivation, work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Attitude, character, skill set, and work ethic is of more importance than qualifications and experience.
* No previous experience required but it is preferred.
