Summary of the Role:
The Business Compliance Specialist manages Healthcare Compliance programs'
transactions for the Health Care Compliance organizations for the medical
sector. He or she supports planning, trainings, assessments, testing and other
varied HCC functions. This person is also responsible for maintaining existing
programs and implementing activities related to Management Action Plans.
This position reports to the business and can have dotted line to the HCC
Officer
Performs a variety of duties to assist and support the administration of
Health Care Compliance Department and the business alignment to Health care
Compliance Program. Coordinate's health care compliance program activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Business Compliance Specialist will work with the HCC team on various
support activities which may include but not be limited to the following:
* Provides support in coordinating various projects and assignments as requested.
* Creates and maintains spreadsheets, documents and reports in HCC related Trainings. (for compliance data, provides routine and non-routine reports as requested, and keeps listings current)
* Maintains and disseminates health care compliance information with reconciliation of all value transfers in Health Care Professional and Government Official related activities.
* Provides necessary information and supports proper documentation/records regarding function specific policies & procedures (eg: Due Diligence, Cross-Border Activities, Fee For Services, Hospitality).
* Organizes and updates department files and databases; and supports monitoring activities of Health Care Compliance related value transfers.
* Operates to support Health Care Compliance management software and programs (like HCC Life approval systems)..
* Interfaces effectively with employees at all levels in Business Compliance related admin topics.
* Provides some administrative support (document preparation, file management, scheduling) to HCC department
* Stimulating and contributing to innovative approaches towards HCPs and GOs consistent with the HCC/HCBI guidelines and framework carrying out day-to-day tasks such as data collection, analysis and reporting,
* Providing and coordinating appropriate guidance and regular communications on HCC to all covered employee.
* Maintain employee certification and training attendance records
* Establish discussion platforms to get general business buy-in and impact analysis
* Supporting new procedure harmonization and implementation
* Assisting in software support for HCC software
* Assist in the harmonization, preparation, updating and implementation of all HCC written policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
* Supporting TMEA regional HCCO for regional project
* Organizing and administratively supporting all Web-ex team meetings
* Consolidating all regional reports, including liaising and partnering with multiple HCCOs (region-wide)
* Consolidating region-wide communication both from management to HCCOs and HCCOs to management
* Maintaining and updating the region wide database (Sharepoints)
* Maintaining records and documentation related to region-wide HCC requirements
Qualifications
Experience Required
* Education: BA/BS, advanced degree or equivalent preferred
* Years of Experience: minimum of 2 years business experience. Preferably experience in Compliance
* Ability to make things happen through managing a broad set of Credo based values.
* Understands the J&J Credo based culture.
* Location: Egypt
Profile/ Skills Required
* Requires strong communication, organisational and analytical skills with immense attention to detail
* Must be able to work independently
* Must be able to effectively work across multiple departments
* Background may include Compliance, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory or Auditing.
* Proven track record in delivering results, self-starter and ability to manage complexity a must
* Industry related experience preferred: HCC/GCC, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance Experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industries.
* Ability to manage conflicts in an open and constructive manner

* Deals well with ambiguity and demonstrates strong organizational, process and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business and effective time management skills are essential.
