Summary of the job:
Provide a first point of contact for customers (internal and external) with
unsolicited requests for Medical Information and provide high quality,
scientific, product/therapeutic Area, and Disease State Subject Matter
Expertise to answer these requests in competitive timelines by making use of
global content and escalation support and involving local MSLs and/or Medical
Advisors only when required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Management of MI Requests, through various channels (eg. Ask Janssen, JMC, field-based employees, JAMIE, and other) from internal & external customers in NEMA, South Africa, JENA & GCC within SOPs specified timelines, in Multiple Sclerosis and PAH. And for French Speaking Africa, cross-Janssen TA's
* Responsible to perform MI escalations to the global escalation team for complex queries on globally prioritized products.
* Responsible for taking contact (when needed) with different supports such as MAF advisors, Regulatory, PV and logistics etc. as appropriate.
* Develop, maintain and deliver verbal and/written communication of researched medical/scientific information to HCPs and consumers in response to unsolicited requests.
* Handle all MI related activities for a cross-therapeutic portfolio of promoted and non-promoted products respecting MAH requirements in GCC, JENA, NEMA and South Africa.
* Inform GCC, JENA, NEMA and South Africa. strategy through:
* Analysis of MI data, and sharing of customer, scientific and competitive insights.
* Interpretation and contextualization of relevant literature.
* Interpret, analyze and disseminate data to internal business partners (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs) to support business strategy and product life-cycle management.
* Provide scientific booth support at meetings and conferences.
* Ensure for FSA requests, the proper regulatory and compliance requirements set by Medi source in France.
Key compliance requirements:
* Complies with designated SOPs and mandatory training for the role.
* Complete annual Adverse Event and Quality Complaint Reporting Awareness training and HCC/FCPA Awareness training and other necessary trainings essential to the Medinfo role
* Ensure safety reporting requirements (timely AE/PQC reporting) as set out in company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and appropriately managed when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects, and contracting vendors.
* Ensure HCC and legal requirements (Fair Market Value, Transfer of Value rules, Promotional Materials rules) are fully understood, appropriately managed, and complied with when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects, and contracting vendors.
* Ensure inspection readiness with respect to personal training compliance, and availability of recent CV and individualized Job Description/job profile To perform if commissioning contractors or third-party organizations, perform Due Diligence where applicable, put compliant contracts in place and provide training, ensuring these individuals also act in accordance with Johnson & Johnson HCC requirements when interacting with Healthcare Professionals or Government Officials and ensure reporting of adverse events and quality complaints resulting from such collaborations (as above).
Qualification & Experience *
* Minimum of 6 years of experience.
* Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or another healthcare profession, or a degree in Life Sciences is required.
* Post graduate degree (MD or PharmD) is a strong asset.
* English language fluency Is mandatory.
* French language is a must.
Knowledge & Skills
* Medical Information experience in a pharmaceutical industry, or in another healthcare setting is an asset.
* A strong clinical or scientific background in Janssen therapeutic areas.
* Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies for GCC, JENA, NEMA and South Africa. markets are required.
* Demonstrated strong ability to verbally communicate scientific information to HCPs and patients.
* Demonstrated strong ability to research, interpret and translate complex scientific information into professional communications to healthcare professionals and business partners is required.
* Advanced ability to search and navigate through a wide range of online and in-print research resources is required.
* Strong prioritization skills with confirmed ability to actively identify, probe, and respond with a sense of urgency.
* High level of attention to accuracy and details.
* Advanced communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated competencies for creativity, problem-solving, and innovative solutions.
* Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team settings.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications (word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) & Agility in learning new systems and processes (e.g iMK)
