Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Training and Development Manager to join our Vehicle Engineering
Maintenance and Operations Support (VEMOS) team. The selected candidate will
assist in providing sustainment support services (operational engineering and
logistics support) globally for some ‎25,000 vehicles including the Army's
Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, or MRAPs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Training and Development Manager typically performs all functional duties independently.
* They perform duties as a functional lead under the PMO.
* They design and conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.
* Develop course curriculum, develop training modules and instructional materials for technical training programs.
* Coordinates class arrangements, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
* Assess needs to determine training material content. Keeps abreast of information technology training needs, trends, methods, new materials, and techniques.
Required Qualifications :
* Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements.
* Seven (‎7) to ‎10 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree.
* Individual must have a CDL-B and a ABIC or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum of five (‎5) years proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
* Experience in providing instruction and training.
* Ability to develop course curriculum.
* Have experience in maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
* Travel to hostile areas is required.
* Must be able to meet all medical requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
* Experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
* Position requires moderate to lengthy travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
* Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Desired Qualifications:
* Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines to include basic computer skills and document preparation.
* Preferred areas of commercial or military experience may be with heavy duty trucks, tractors, ground systems, or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicles.
* Military or civilian formal certificates of training and instruction in maintenance-related field.
Security Clearance Requirements:
* Must have an active ( DoD) Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
* Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
* Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
