This Opportunity


Louis Berger Services is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill
positions for the Project Manager (Electrical) in Kuwait.
* All employees must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.


Your Impact



  • Serve as the Project Manager (Electrical) for the assigned electrical distribution project

  • Report to the Program Manager all special occurrences such as emergency outages and corrective actions taken to maintain service.

  • Function as subject matter expert for all electrical inquiries, utilizing industry practices and available information to make informed decisions regarding all electrical activities

  • Oversee the completion of all project tasks, to include administrative, procurement, maintenance, inspection, and handover phases

  • Prepare reports, to include status reports, project financial summaries, project completion summaries, and Gantt charts, for executive leadership and senior military officials

  • Participate in conferences (including pre and post emergency conferences), workshops, meetings, and exercises such as Command Post Exercises, After Action Reviews, Lessons Learned Analysis, Planning and Response Team Train Ups, as directed.

  • Coordinate and oversea subcontracted levels of effort, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards meet statement of work directives.

  • Provide direction and guidance for all project matters, including distribution, electrical production efficiency, electrical safety, electrical standards, and documentation

  • Oversee and assist with performing hands-on inspections and tests of electrical cabling and components

  • Drive schedule of project, ensuring all milestones and key performance indicators are met within established timelines

  • Monitor and inspect operational activities for safety precautions and instructs employees against occupational hazards

  • Responsible for employee conduct and compliance with all safety policies, regulations and compliance with all published electrical safety requirements, including industry, host-nation, and installation-specific standards and requirements

  • Coordinate all power outages, disruptions, environmental testing, required permitting, and compliance activities with the US Military/Prime Contractor designated representative

  • Ensure all environmental and regulatory requirements and constraints are met within power generation facilities

  • Supervise, manage, and schedule multi-skilled level operations and maintenance team members

  • Complete records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities

  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

  • Promote teamwork and actively participate in quality improvement process.

  • Maintain constant awareness of available resources including: personnel, space, equipment, and funding

  • Plan and coordinate the storage, transport and procurement of equipment and supplies required for execution at the site

  • Respond to emergency calls regarding power generation equipment breakdowns and unit outages

  • Ability to interpret and apply required maintenance action with data readings and results of equipment checks to identify equipment or process problems and take appropriate responses to correct or resolve problems

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Abide by and adhere to all requirements in General Order #‎1 in conformity with US military standards and practices

  • Follow all Louis Berger Services standard policies and practices


Who You Are


Required Qualifications
* A US certified Journeyman, Master, Medium Voltage, or IEEE equivalent electrician with at least three (‎3) years' post-license experience
* IEEE equivalent includes journeyman or higher electrician equivalency from home nation (UK C&G, JIB, etc.).
* At least five (‎5) years' experience managing power projects with a minimum of two (‎2) years in a contingency environment.
* Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from project inception to close out.
* BS ‎7671 or Kuwait MEW electrical standard experience required
* Completion of formalized training in electrical maintenance or theory
* Familiarity with electrical codes and international standards relative to medium-voltage distribution
* Experienced in full Microsoft Office Suite, to include Access, Word, Project, and Excel
* Experienced working in international work environments with expatriate or US military
* Proactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating, and working with senior management and staff, local and international subcontractors, and local government and military officials
* Valid drivers' license from home of record
* Must provide copies of training certificates and licenses
* All contractor employees are required to be medically, dentally, and psychologically fit for deployment and performance of their contracted duties as outlined in the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
(DFARS) clause ‎252.225-‎7995, Contractor Personnel Performing in the United
States Central Command Area of Responsibility. This clause requires all
contractor personnel to meet the theater specific medical qualifications
established by the Geographic Combatant Commander before deploying to, being
granted installation access, or performing work under the resultant contract.
In the USCENTCOM Area of Operation (AOR), the required medical screening,
immunizations, and vaccinations are specified in the current USCENTCOM
individual Protection and Individual Unit Deployment Policy and DoD
Instruction (DODI) ‎3020.41, Operational Contract Support (OCS).
* Current medical screening, immunization, and vaccination requirements are available at

* Level of English required: Fluent
. Preferred Qualifications
* ‎7-‎10 Years' experience, with progressive responsibility, in electrical maintenance supervisory and management roles preferred
* Experience with low and medium voltage distribution preferred
* Prior experience on US-military bases preferred
* Certification in project management preferred
* Current certification in Fundamentals of Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E) preferred
* Current transferrable Kuwait Visa ‎18 preferred
* Completion of OSHA Industrial Safety Training preferred
NOTE: Duties will involve work primarily indoors, though any outdoor work will
have a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent
dust storms, and high temperatures up to 130F degrees in the summer months.
* Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods.
* Scheduled work hours up to ‎72 hours per week.
