JOB TITLE:* Offshore Materials Administrator (OMA)*


REPORTING TO:** Directly to Offshore Installation Manager and/or Technical
Support Lead; Functionally to the Offshore Materials Supervisor


LOCATION: Offshore


‎1.1* *ROLE SUMMARY


Responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient material management of all
inventory on/off rig including:
* Material Requisition
* Warehouse Management
* Inventory Control
* Tubular Control
* Logistics
* Reporting & Quality


‎1.2* *QHSE


Responsible for/ensure:
* Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct.
* Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements.
* Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.
* The standard for tidiness and cleanness is adhered to.
* Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan.
* Good and clear communications with all involved parties.
* Protect the environment.
* Quality of service to internal and external customers.
* Keep up own certification and medical certificates up to date.


Participate in:
* Meeting activities in a proactive and constructive manner.
* Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required.
* Emergency duties according to the unit's emergency organization.


‎1.3* *JOB SPECIFIC


Responsible for/ensure:
* The systematization and tidiness of the spare parts store onboard.
* Maintaining stipulated minimum and maximum materials levels.
* Checking all received goods as per procedures.
* Receipt/Issue of materials on/off the rig
* Preparation of purchase requisitions.
* Recording stock movements including the preparation of transport orders.
* Performing periodic cycle counts.
* Assisting with preparation for future drilling operations.
* Relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports.
* That clear daily operational guidelines are provided to all direct reports.
* Safe and efficient handling when receiving and sending goods and materials.
* All applicable reports and logs as required by the supervisor are maintained.
* Other duties are performed as and when required and/or directed by his/her direct supervisor.


‎1.4* *EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS



  • Working knowledge of materials receiving, handling, issuing and storage.

  • Proficient computer skills, competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with material management and/or ERP systems.


‎1.5* *AUTHORITY



  • Operate within Seadrill 's key principles for business conduct.

  • As per Corporate and Regional Specific Delegation of Authority matrices.


‎1.6* *QUALIFICATIONS


Education*
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience
*
* ‎3 years ' experience in Supply Chain, Inventory or Warehouse Management.
* Previous experience with materials handling.
* Certificates, training and competencies such as forklift operation, hazardous materials handling, waste management, BOSIET, etc.
* Advanced understanding of warehouse management principles.
* Full understanding of logistics and shipping management.
* Local Environmental and Safety regulations/requirements understanding
* Understanding of the core process and basic understanding of the rig equipment.

‎2.0 REGIONAL REQUIREMENTS


This section describes requirements deemed necessary for this position in the
respective region and are considered as additions to the requirements outlined
in Section ‎1.


The requirements in Section ‎1 are to be considered minimum corporate
requirements and deviations from same are to be handled in accordance to the
Directive for Handling of non-conformities.

‎2.2.‎1 Material Requisition
* Prepare unit requisitions for materials and services in accordance with company procedures.
* Responsible for ordering equipment and spare parts so that the stipulated minimum and maximum levels of spare parts and equipment are met.
* Communicate with shore-based Supply Chain personnel to ensure requisitions are understood, technical queries are answered, and purchase orders are expedited as required.
* Creation of new ICN cards with all details and specifications required to allow prompt sourcing by the shorebase procurement support team.
* Maintain accurate records of received and outstanding requisitions and cargo materials.
* Focus on Planning in liaison with Rig Supervisors in order to Minimize Urgent Orders.


‎2.2.‎2 Warehouse Management
* Secure the warehouse always and restrict access to un-authorized personnel.
* Be competent in the handling of dangerous goods.
* Receive and issue parts and equipment to and from the warehouse.
* Maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse with all equipment stored in a safe manner at all times.
* Check all received equipment certification, test certificates and material specimens. (Any discrepancies, materials to be quarantined immediately.)


‎2.2.‎3 Inventory Control
* Perform cyclical inventory test counts as per company procedures.
* Ensure all rubber and other lotted goods are registered per Seadrill's procedures and stay within their expiry dates by using FIFO methodology wherever possible and properly disposing of expired inventory.
* Regularly review obsolete and surplus parts in the warehouse and bring to the attention of Rig Management team in the manifesting and control of third party equipment as required.
* Review regularly the maximum, minimum & re-order point quantities and make recommendations to rig supervisors to optimize stock levels.
* Review regularly obsolete and surplus parts and advise shorebase accordingly.


‎2.2.‎4 Tubular Control
* Maintain up to date records of the Drill String Tubulars stored either on board or offshore in liaison with the day / night Toolpusher.


‎2.2.‎5 Logistics
* Comply with local customs rules and regulations and environmental laws regarding the shipment of equipment, parts and goods.
* Ensure that all shipments to and from the unit are properly logged and documented in accordance with company procedures.
* Prepare shipping lists, conduct receipt of goods check, and process Third Party and Client rebilling in a timely manner.
* Ensure all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are correctly labelled and packaged prior to shipment.
* Properly package materials for long-term storage and/or shipment according to company procedures and best practice when sending them to the yard and another rig respectively.
* Responsible for tracking any and all equipment sent in for repair, storage or Interfield Transfer (aka IRT) via the Seadrill's Offshore Material Transfer procedure.
* Communicate as required with the shore base to allow tracking of shipments.


‎2.2.‎6 Reporting & Quality
* Prepare and issue required warehouse inventory reports as required.
* Distribute equipment inspections, certificates, reports, etc. to the relevant department heads.
* Update onboard Rig Management on the expediting of purchase orders, materials and shipments end route, etc. and prepare reports as required.
* Mentor, develop and train new Material Administrators to ensure they are competent to work in their current job positions.
* Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill.


‎2.3* *OTHER AUTHORITIES



  • Observe to uncover any non-compliance and immediately report these to his superior.

  • Enforcement of established policies and procedures.

  • Stop work for unsafe operations.

  • Active participation in the financial aspects of rig operational management.


‎2.4 MAND ATORY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION



  • Comply with training matrix for the position.

  • Comply with Competency Assurance Program in a timely manner as per Seadrill requirement.
