Your responsibilities

• Service - Typical duties/responsibilities for Service Engineer may include, but are not limited to the following: Perform HPR Services and related automation & control service which includes Site Study, Rectify, Programming, graphics development and troubleshoot HPR / automation system by applying own knowledge and experience to find the solution of any problem or modifications required; Engineering of system concepts, electrical schematics, customer specific Software (PLC) and testing for tailored made customer systems used in industrial applications; Responsible for technical and commercial aspects of the entire rectifier system including detailed engineering Complying with quality standards and regulations; Commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of High Power Rectifiers in a range up to ‎100 kA/‎2000 V per system; Verifying technical solutions and addressing issues in close collaboration with customers and suppliers; Perform work assignments by following ABB's and customer's safety policies and procedures and ensures that all activities comply with the required safety regulations and contractual requirements; and Writing of reports that describe the results of a service / project and ensure customer acceptance / sign off.


• Projects Support - Translate customer needs / requirements into detailed service / project plans and create work plans for own area of responsibility; and Proactively manages this work plan to deliver the agreed job on time, on quality and at the targeted cost. Improve effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other functions.


• Customer Support - Be the primary customer contact during each service / project activities. Attend meetings, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, resolve issues, negotiate / coordinate as appropriate to meet the customer requirements and ABB commitments.


• Sales Support - Providing support to sales and assist in the development of offerings and cost estimates. Investigate alternative solutions to develop new approaches (products, systems, procedures) to meet customer requirements within budget.

Your background

• Ideally, you'll hold a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control)


• Minimum ‎2 years experience in the field of HPR / Automation


• Excellent command over written and spoken English language is required.
