You will be working as workshop Service Engineer, and will be the part of
Motion Business Area for Service Division based in 10th of Ramadan City,
Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Service team leader will be
responsible to execute Service work with low to medium complexity according to
work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality
standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy
customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take
actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities

• Diagnose technical problems, determines corrective actions, and repair Drives products at workshop and/or systems via remote or on-site service. Assess technical issues to determine if on-site assistance is required and perform all on- site / workshop activities in accordance with ABB procedures and safety requirements.


• Solve hardware and software functional compatibility problems and mistakes found during service intervention and replaces faulty hardware or software items involved. Provide assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary and perform remote service assistance using remote connection and diagnostics tools.


• Obtain acknowledgement from the customer regarding the completed repair tasks and detail activities perform to solve the customer problem. Act as the project leader in the service project by analyze the repair work requirements and clarify the repair scope.


• Ensure the coordination of the other internal and external technicians and assign them specific tasks related to repair / service need. Keep management inform of project progress and any problems that arise (technical issues, manpower, contractual delays, etc.).


• Ensure the planning and execution of assign service activities carried out in the workshop and monitor progress and long-term delivery and make sure repair work execution with respect to the agreed terms of schedule, quality, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction.


• Assure quality of repair work and delivery in line with allocated man hours, build up trustworthy relationship with customers to triggers new service opportunities for the sales team to peruse and ensure the achievement of Regional Drives Workshop KPIs in cooperation with workshop Manger.


• Follow rigorously with zero tolerance ABB Safety guidelines, conduct Site Services whenever required and coordinate with Service Team Leader any required service jobs or assignments.

Your background

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical engineering or Mechatronics engineering


• Previous Experience: ‎2 years or less in drives.


• Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic Languages
