About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Chef De Partie to join the Culinary team in
Jumeirah Jabal Omar Pe-opening Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of
this role:
* Actively manages all aspects of the section and delegate tasks to the junior kitchen staff accordingly to ensure a smooth operation of that kitchen section to the expected quality standards of the Chef de Cuisine.
* Manages service during busy periods and in the absence of senior chefs, manages the kitchen ensuring all standards and quality procedures are adhered to.
* Assists Chef de Cuisine / Sous Chef in the development of new menu ideas to ensure all menus are seasonal and creative using the finest ingredients.
* Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
* To inform and keep the Chef de Cuisine up-to-date on challenges and irregularities and recommend courses of action.
* Plans staff training with the Sous Chef and maintain an active training plan/programme for each team member.
* Supervises and check every dish sent from the section to ensure highest quality standards are maintained.
* Assists Chef de Cuisine / Sous Chef to set service and food standards in compliance with the international policies and standards.

About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and
qualifications:

• College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.


• At least ‎3 years of experience in a progressively more complex and responsible roles ideally within the luxury hospitality industry


• Expert in hygiene, health and safety knowledge.


• Expert in product quality and presentation skills.


• Very good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong customer service orientation.
