Swissotel Makkah is Swissotel's first hotel to open in Saudi Arabia. The hotel
offers ‎1487 elegant rooms and suites with modern design, complementing the
values of today's Arab culture. As part of the prestigious Abraj Al Bait
Complex, the deluxe Swissotel Makkah is a contemporary five-star hotel located
in close proximity to the holy Masjid Al Haram, overlooking the Ka'aba and the
Grand Mosque. Swissotel Makkah is part of a new urban development, including
two restaurants, one executive lounge, two meeting rooms and a business
centre. It has private entrances that make it easier for pilgrims to reach Al
Masjid Al Haram.


Job Description


Be an ambassador of the brand and the property as Assistant Talent & Culture
Manager, where your leadership, strong interpersonal skills and strategic
vision will drive an engaged team, guest satisfaction and maximized operating
results. You will bring your strong commercial and business acumen, and
tenacity to drive the top line to exceed targets, and to position the property
in the premium- lifestyle marketplace.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to Talent & Culture Manager with dotted line reporting to The Group
Director of Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions
include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
* Responds to all colleague enquiries promptly and professionally.
* Play a critical role in the implementation of the hotel's Talent & Culture strategy.
* Works closely with Employer Branding & Talent Acquisition team to ensure smooth transition of candidates upon completion of successful job offers.
* Oversee the Talent & Culture office in the day-to-day operation of the department.
* Prioritize all telephone calls and in-person visitors, scheduling appointments as required.
* Provide all office administration duties such as written correspondence, mail, photocopying and ordering office supplies.
* Ensures the dissemination of information to hotel colleagues in the most effective way on timely basis and in a timely manner.
* Maintain confidential filling system for correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and various matters related to the office.
* Assists to oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel's colleague facilities, including locker rooms, rest rooms, colleague dining room, etc. in ensuring that heart-of-house colleague areas are attractive and well maintained at all times.
* Prepare new colleague contracts as required.
* Respond to requests and queries from both Accor T&C Offices whether Country or regional office in a professional and timely manner.
* Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues and handle complaints, settling disputes and resolving conflicts, while being in full compliance with local laws and T&C Policies.
* Assist in maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction and team spirit.
* Plans and executes the hotel's colleague recognition programs as well as social and recreational activities to inculcate a culture of spontaneous colleague recognition.
* Assist Departmental Leaders with the development of specific action plans to address areas of opportunity identified in Colleague feedback.
* Assess organizational needs, develop aligned Talent & Culture solutions and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, administration and Colleague wellness.
* Promote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun.
* Assist Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in colleague feedback.
* Assists to drive health at workplace initiatives aligning the hotel's Talent and Culture initiatives and programs with group standards and initiatives.
* Prepare and follow the hotel CSR initiatives.
* Follow departmental policies and procedures.
* Follow all safety policies.
* Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Previous Talent & Culture leadership experience required.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required.

  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

  • Highly responsible & reliable.

  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
