Consultancy - Bootcamp Advisor*
Background*
** One of USAID TRADE's core objectives and activities is to improve the
Trade Support Institutions' (TSIs) capacity to deliver services. This will be
achieved though assisting Export Councils (ECs) in designing and conducting
export bootcamps, tailored for different sectors to increase the quality and
relevance of the trade support services to their members. These bootcamps will
be a part of an Executive Export Management Training Program service.
USAID TRADE Project is planning to launch its first, intensive 2-day bootcamp,
co-organized with the ECPP. The main theme will be "Supply Chain Management in
the Packaging Sector."
ECPP is one of the most active ECs established by the Ministry of Trade and
Industry. This council supports the realization of the vision and objectives
of the ministry's exporting strategy for all sectors under the Council's
umbrella.
This bootcamp is designed to equip industry professionals, in the field of
packaging and printing, with a solid foundation in global supply chain
management and tangible tools on how to address supply chain challenges for
international export. In addition, it will be a good opportunity for creating
new business linkages among participating ECPP members and mentors/coaches
brought by USAID TRADE.
The objective of this assignment is to hire a short-term consultant that can
work along with ECPP and USAID TRADE team to facilitate the two- day event,
assign mentor/coach, as well as assist with the sessions structure and
planning of different activities.
Responsibilities
The consultant will undertake the following tasks:
* Identify instructor/coach/mentor for the different bootcamp sessions.
* Structure a two-day intensive training program (sessions and timeline).
* Support in planning of the activities, presentations, and professional panel.
* Guide the participants during the training towards the adoption of best practices to overcome the challenges they are facing in their daily operations.
* Enhance the participants ' capability to present before prospective panel (as if pitching to buyers).
* Ensure a high level of commitment, participation, and integration from the participants side during the bootcamp.
* Ensure professional-level presentations that will be prepared and presented by the participating companies.
Deliverables
* Short-list of instructors/coaches/mentors for the bootcamp.
* Agenda structure and timeline.
* Two-day intensive training program for up to 20-25 participants, providing them with the needed knowledge about the supply chain management in the packaging sector.
* Brief USAID consultancy report describing the purpose of the consultancy, progress achieved, observations, issues and/or problems encountered, and details of expected follow-on activities by USAID TRADE or its stakeholders.
Period of Performance: o/a December 10th - December 17th, 2022

Qualifications:
* 5+ years of related experience in the training and consulting field
* Excellent knowledge of creating, planning and structuring training sessions and modules
* Strong knowledge of successful international best practices
* Time management (in managing deliverables)
* Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written)
Project Overview
USAID 's Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on
decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy with
the aim of substantially increasing Egyptian exports from Small and Medium
Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on six selected sectors:
engineering products, food processing, home textiles, ready-made garments,
chemicals, and building materials. Through the project, USAID works with the
Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and
reduce barriers to trade. USAID also partners with business associations and
export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small- and
medium-sized exporters, as well as with private companies to help them access
new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade
and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and
drive economic growth.
