Mission East, founded in Denmark in ‎1991, is an international humanitarian and
development organisation undertaking disaster relief and development
programmes in Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
In Iraq, Mission East provides assistance for both urgent basic needs for
those displaced by violence as well as longer-term support for returnees and
IDPs in protracted displacement settings. Our current programme includes NFI
and shelter, cash transfers, WASH assistance, livelihoods support, protection
and psychosocial support activities delivered through multi-purpose community
centres.

Key Tasks and Objectives:
* Teach ‎10-‎20 hours per week (depending on timetable)
* Plan and deliver participatory, creative, student-centred classes
* Assist in student recruitment process
* Administer online student placement test and Cambridge Linguaskill test
* Keep record of attendance and results
* Evaluate and monitor student progress
* Mark internal assessments at the end of each course
* Assist with administration when required
* Attend regular meetings with CLC coordinator
* Guide and monitor students’ independent study
* Provide additional support to students when necessary
* Act as a student welfare officerRequired qualifications and skills:
University degree in English or equivalent an advantage
• High level of written and spoken English (ideally B2 or higher)
• Relevant teaching qualification preferable
• Previous teaching experience preferable
• IT skills an advantage
• Friendly, outgoing and willing to work as a team
• Highly motivated and flexible
• Technology :
‎1-Competent in the use of technology to access learning materials
‎2-Proficiency with MS Office and relevant Google apps
‎3-Ability to learn new software programs as needed
