About the Role
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Admissions Secretary for our brand-new UK
curriculum school in Dubai for September 2023. The School will be located in
Al Waha, Dubai, very close to Sustainable City as well as many other
attractive, expat communities along the Al Qudra Road area. It will follow an
established GEMS brand, with unique features at a great fee point.
All teaching and leadership staff will be UK-qualified and experienced
international school teachers and leaders. The school will open for learners
from FS1 to Year 8 in the founding year, growing subsequently each year to
offer a through school curriculum within six years from its opening.*
Responsibilities (will include but will not be limited to):
* organize and manage the admission procedures of students.
* ensure all students are registered in accordance with the GEMS enrollment process and the guidelines set by the governing authorities
* assist in meeting prospective parents to explain admission procedures, curriculum, fees and regulations.
* maintain an accurate record of all student places available and waiting lists.
* ensure the student information database is updated at all times.
* support the Registrar on the annual enrollment process
* work closely with the Government Relations Executive (GRE) to ensure all transfer certificates meet school requirements.
* following up on outstanding offers and admissions processes
* maintaining or creating files for all new applicants.
About You
You will hold a Bachelor's Degree from a reputable University and have a
minimum of two years' experience in a front of house or customer service role.
With a proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets, you will
have experience working collaboratively within a team to achieve the desired
results. You will understand how to build and maintain professional
relationships with excellent skills in influencing others.
You will also have good presentation skills and be an effective communicator.
You will be able to handle different tasks simultaneously and manage your time
in an efficient manner.

* Principal/CEO of the School
* Representations from SSC functional teams

* Target time of appointment is March 2023
For all internal appointments, the School leadership will work in
collaboration with the shortlisted employees' current Principal/CEO and/or
Department heads on the actual release dates (from their current position of
responsibilities).
