Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE
residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE national, the Mission assists
in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Ref. to

Vacancy Q#1, and attach a copy of residency visa.
The Public Engagement Assistant is the leading locally employed staff
strategic/advisor responsible for the Consulate general's Public Diplomacy
(PD) engagement with Established Opinion Leaders (EOL) and Emerging Voice
(EV), including influential individuals and institutions. Designs and
recommends PD strategies to connect with EOL and EV audiences to build and
sustain productive dialogue and promote an understanding of and support for
U.S. policy. Plans, develops, coordinates, oversees, and evaluates projects
and initiatives to engage EOL and EV subject matter experts and the audiences
they reach. The Public Engagement Assistant works under the direct supervision
of the Public Diplomacy Officer (PDO) or Public Affairs (PAO) designee.
Coordinates closely with Abu-Dhabi Public Engagement unit.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience required, with communications,
public engagement management, or education duties as integral aspects of the
work. Prior experience in an international, academic, or governmental work
environment is required.
Education Requirements:
A university degree in Political Science, Economics, International Relations,
Communications, American Studies, or local equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. This may be
tested.
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Arabic is required. This may be
tested
