To procure materials and services required by the company. Develops &
introduces best practices to ensure the organization's supply chain is
maintained at the lowest costs and highest quality possible achieving on time
delivery of orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To review vendors and supplier's quotations, identify technical & commercial specifications received from the vendors to avail the best price.
* Ability to analyze and evaluate all purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of material and equipment.
* To prepare and issue purchase orders with selected suppliers' price & technical specifications.
* Strong Negotiation skills to ensure that target prices with max payment terms are obtained.
* Represent the organization in a responsible & professional manner.
* Administer purchases from material requisitions and re-order reports.
* Ensure accurate input of purchase order, ensure Order acknowledgments are received & expedite order.
* Review orders to formulate better strategies to reduce price, improve quality, reduce lead time
* Identify and frame agreements with suppliers
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping.
* Handling enquiries in procurement-related matters from other departments via requisitions.
* Responsible and knowledgeable for appropriate adherence to all applicable quality standards like ISO 9001 & API Q1
* Conduct Supplier meeting for poor Performing suppliers based on Ontime delivery and non-conformance logs.
* Negotiate & setup price list with top spend suppliers, monitor cost using price variance report.
* Run & analyze weekly SQL reports for Ontime Delivery, Supplier assessment fields, Supplier Scorecards reports & NCR reports.
* Ensure expediting reports are sent to the suppliers & changes if any are updated and see if they can be mitigated if they do not meet requirements.
* Have a good understanding of technical drawings and quality requirements.
* Ability to choose the right vendor based on the technical & quality requirements for subcontracted engineering parts
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
* Diploma in supply chain/ Diploma in mechanical engineering - Essential.
* Bachelors in mechanical engineering - Preferred.
Experience:
* 2-3 Year Experience in Manufacturing based in Purchasing role - Essential.
* 5 Year Experience in Manufacturing based in Purchasing role for Oil & Gas - Preferred.
Skills:
* Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially in Excel -Essential.
* Experience in Power BI - Preferred.
