Key Result Areas:
1.Lead a team responsible for purchasing non-contracted items to ensure the
assigned work is completed in an efficiently and timely manner.
2.Collaborate with Category Specialist / Buyer to get the right list of
suppliers to reach for a particular RFQ/ requisition.
3.Gather data across Supply Chain and Procurement department to support
implementation of ways to improve existing processes.
4.Perform sourcing activities for complex non-contracted purchases with
foreign suppliers that require engagement from multiple stakeholders and
ensure both customer and procedural requirements are adhered.
5.Search and create a repository of potential suppliers and share the
information to category specialist/buyer in a timely manner and ensure all
type of categories/ product type have at least 3 suppliers for continuity of
supply.
6.Provide data related to sourcing requisitions on a regular basis in line
with the type and categories handled by the team ensuring quality of the data
and maintain departmental dashboards.
7.Review prices and product specifications for complex items and from foreign
suppliers and confirm them with internal stakeholders by adhering good
procurement practices with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing
standards and costing that helps determine the best deal.
8.Ensure all supplier non-conformance reports are up to date and closed in a
timely manner and escalate the matter in case of a continuous issue with a
supplier.

* Support in preparing reports to review the transactional activities and performance
* Maintain a knowledge of existing vendors & relevant categories, organizational rules affecting purchases, and provide information about these rules to internal stakeholders and to vendors
* Maintain appropriate records to ensure that procurement process, activities are documented for accountability and audit purpose.
* Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications
* Check and classify the precedence of the requisition and process as priority setting of the material needed
* Updating various databases in the system and generating reports on request.
* Evaluate offers from vendors and award the RFQ
* Engaging with suppliers through the EKFC Supplier Directory and e-Sourcing systems
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
* Diploma or equivalent qualification (preferably supply chain/ procurement)
Work Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a Procurement environment
Skills:
1. Good communication skills (must have)
2. Ability to work in a team & environment with tough deadlines
3. Computer proficiency: ERP knowledge, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
4. Plan and manage his/her own work, takes initiative and strives to meet
deadlines
5. Able to uphold and respect procurement ethics and to conduct activities
with integrity
6. Be able to work in a multicultural environment
