The College of Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS) prepares top students for
professional leadership in the rapidly changing global environment, imparting
seminal skills that can be transferred across contexts and applied in novel
ways.
At the undergraduate level, CIS offers four degree programs: Business
Transformation, Computational Systems, Sustainability and Social Innovation.
To support the new programs, CSI is seeking to hire visiting faculty.
Successful candidates will enter a dynamic, growing organization that is
active in both teaching and research.
The Opportunity
The College of Interdisciplinary Sciences at Zayed University invites
applications for a one year visiting Faculty position in the areas of
Environmental Engineering or closely related fields starting Fall 2023.
Potential candidates are expected to have an established commitment to the
excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. For its role to empower
emerging leaders globally and locally, CIS is aimed to prepare students with
applied analytical skills in interdisciplinary sciences. Preference will be
given to applicants who demonstrate strong connections between computational
mathematics and applications is science and engineering.
As a faculty member, you'll provide practical hands-on instruction in an
engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies
in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve
learning outcomes. It will be valued as an asset to have research in
interdisciplinary sciences through an integrated approach and preference will
be given to such candidates whose research reflects such an approach.
The Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree at the time of the appointment from an
internationally accredited university in Environmental Engineering, or a
closely related discipline.
Preference will be given to applicants who have a focus on interdisciplinary
research and have professional experience in a multi-cultural environment.
