IT - Systems Administrator (Middle East)

Overview:
IT System Administrator's role is to monitor and maintain computer systems and
networks across the PRG-Middle East loations.

You shall be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems,
diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve hardware and applications
problems, either over the phone or in person.

PRG increasingly rely on computer systems in all areas of their operations and
decision making processes. It's therefore crucial to ensure the correct
running and maintenance of the IT systems.
Qualifications:
Due to a wide variety of technologies being used, you will be required to have
a working knowledge and experience across the following platforms, these are:

Candidate must be available immediately.
* Minimum ‎2 years UAE experience
* Degree qualification desired
* Must have the following experience of:
* Windows Server ‎2008 - ‎2016
* Windows desktop ‎2007 - ‎2010
* Citrix, Hyper V & VMWare
* SCCM ‎2012 and above
* Desktop Imaging software
* File & Print Management platforms and software
* Switching & Routing understanding including VLAN
* DHCP & DNS
* Mobile Device Management
* Anti-Virus - Kaspersky, MS Endpoint & Symantec
* Terminal Services, Remote desktop Connection
* Handheld terminals (barcode Scanners)
* knowledge of working within the ITIL framework
* CITRIX & Thin Client technology
* Strong communication - fluent in English, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Experience in liaising and assisting at all levels.
* Excellent administrative skills.
* Ability to take ownership of problems and act quickly.
* Mature approach to dealing with people at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to learn and retain information within a reasonable time frame.
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and pride in your work.

Responsibilities:
IT Systems Administrators are mainly responsible for the smooth running of
computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Individual
tasks vary depending on project based work or business as usual activity, but
you'll generally need to:

Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
* Maintain local infrastructure (servers, routers, switches, UPS, wireless, printers, alarms, cabling)
* Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
* Administer client hardware (desktop devices, desk phones, mobile, scanners) troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
* Test and evaluate new technology.
* Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
* Serves as the first/secondary point of contact for user requests/escalated user requests.
* Interacts with internal customers to ensure that all Information Technology (IT) related issues are addressed and documented in a responsive and professional manner.
* Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
* Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
* support the roll-out of new applications.
* Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
* Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
* Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
* Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as Dev Ops.
* Establish a good working relationship with the global PRG IT team.
* Work close together with the regional IT team from PRG EMEA that is responsible for this area in general.
* Manage local supplier and service companies that PRG works together with.
